The presentation covers Elizabeth’s childhood, her decision to try to become a doctor, her eventual qualification, the founding of a hospital and school of medicine and her legacy. An enjoyable five day poetry unit to use with KS1 during the summer term. During the unit, children have the opportunity to read, study and learn two poems; one about water and one about the beach.
